Shot of the Day #187: An evening with an "Eye"

Had a few Coronas and an AMAZING dinner talk with one of my favorite working DP's about the new project. We had met before when he was in town for a screening of a film he did (that I absolutely LOVED) and thanks to the director of that film, he was nice enough to meet me tonight to discuss some stchuff.

The best part? We BARELY talked about the movie, mostly about the movies we love, the fellow filmmakers we admire, and just a general geeking out. That's when I know its a great connection. The beers helped, sure, but when you can really click with someone, both creatively and on a personal level, it only makes the collaboration more exciting to imagine. Plus anyone who can talk Conrad Hall, HALLOWEEN, Iron Maiden & GOONIES in the same practical breath is good peoples in my book.

Cross your fingers kids...you're gonna see some serious shit.
