Shot of the Day #261: Midnight with The Muppets

Shot with iphone, click to enlarge.

Who would have thought, in Hollywood on a Friday night, that the hottest ticket in town would be a midnight screening of The Muppet Movie? Not me, but then again, it's Hollywood, baby.

A few of us decided at the last moment to check it out tonight, thinking it would likely be JUST us, and as it turns out, we weren't the only ones planning on going! The line was down the block and the place was mostly full by the time the movie started, and I forgot how meta-great this film is. That it constantly breaks the 4th wall (referring to the audience, whipping out the script in scenes, etc) is testament to Jim Henson never playing down to kids and even playing up to Adults, which is probably why The Muppets have endured over 40 years and numerous generations of kids and their parents.

What a great night. So glad we went.

PS: I dont know why, but
