Shot of the Day #28: Patterns.
Shot with iphone. Click to enlarge.
Sometimes in everyday life, its nice to see a pattern. Either a particular repetition, like dropped toothpicks forming perfectly parallel lines, or noticing that your DVD collection just happens to have 4 George Clooney movies in a row that aren't OCEAN films. These curious patterns can sometimes catch yoru attention, or you can start to read into it. Kinda like the dude in Aronofsky's PI, always searching for the ultimate patterns that lead to a higher meaning. Or, just a coincidence. Both are nice.
Tonight at the final of our birthing classes, a bittersweet affair since we became close with all the expectant couples and didn't want to bid farewell to anyone, I was sitting on the floor and noticed that the couple next to me, Andrea and Michael, also had their feet crossed like mine, even down to which leg crosses the other. Seeing the particular pattern, I had to grab it. A higher, J.J. Abrams-like signifigance? Dunno, you tell me. Something about it made me take the shot, so there. Gotta go with my gut on these things.

I take pics of the same kinds of things. ALthuogh sometimes I wonder if it's worth getting the strange look from people when they notice I may be photography, say for instance, their legs...
